Founded in 2004, we started as a retail fuel provider at our Berkeley service statation. With our customer first approach, we quickly grew to multiple gas stations spreading across the San Francisco Bay area.
To date, we are strongly growing and expanding our services within the state of California.
We are always on the forefront to employ innovative practices and offer practical solutions to meet our customer's demands.
Founder and CEO
Sanjiv has been a serial entrepreneur, who has started several companies in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Publishing, Semiconductor, Internet and Petroleum. His varied background from different industries gives him a unique perspective to see existing businesses and identify their hidden potential. This expertise has helped him put his company as one of the fastest growing companies in America for five years in a row in an industry that has been stagnant during this time. He is a big proponent of entrepreneurship and small businesses. He is passionate about helping small business owners. Sanjiv holds Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from USC.
Founder and VP, Wholesale Fuel
Niken is one of the founding partners of the company and possesses 15+ years of experience in the petroleum industry. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from USC. His technology background brings a distinctive perspective to the business. We try to use technology as much as possible to resolve any issues or concerns in the business and to be innovative in our offerings. Niken is responsible for executing supply contracts with refiners like Shell, Tesoro, PSX, and Valero. He manages the allocations from all fuel suppliers under all contracts to maximize the profitability for the company. Prior to National Petroleum, Niken was engaged in operations of the family business of Acids and Chemicals sales and transportation in India. He successfully managed a fleet of 50 truck tankers (growth from 30 to 50 in less than 2 years). He introduced services like eInvoice, eBOL, communication via SMS with all the drivers etc. during his term.
